Troy P. Anderson is a patent attorney with Suiter Swantz IP. Troy holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Optics from the College of Optics at the University of Central Florida, as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Troy received his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Following graduate school, Troy worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and later as a Research Assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where he helped grow a multi-disciplinary team to develop novel laser-based methods to functionalize metallic surfaces for efficient heat transfer, self-cleaning surfaces, medical devices, electrolysis, and self-propelled droplet motion applications. These experiences provide Troy with a broad technical background as well as deep technical expertise in optics, physics, nanotechnology, materials science, metrology, and electrical engineering.
During his time as a researcher, Troy also co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal publications and numerous technical conference presentations related to his research on tailoring material properties using femtosecond laser pulses.
