IN MEMORIAM, 1934-2024
Dennis was born in Ambrose, North Dakota. Dennis graduated from Ambrose High School in 1952 and received a B.S. Degree in Geological Engineering from the University of North Dakota in January 1957 where he played baseball. He entered the U.S. Army in February 1957, after serving for 2 ½ years in the North Dakota National Guard and played football, basketball and baseball for Fort Polk, LA.
In January 1959, Dennis returned to graduate school at the University of North Dakota and graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in June of 1963.
Dennis became a patent lawyer shortly after graduation from law school and wrote approximately 4,000 patent applications in his career. Dennis was named as one of the top patent lawyers in the world on two occasions. He was admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1983. He was named as one of the best intellectual property lawyers in in Omaha for several years as well as the best patent attorney in Omaha. He was also named as the Boss of the Year in 2008.
His passions included his family, law practice, and golf.
